Food Pantry

Galatians 5:22-23a But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

As the calendar page turned to 2008 we celebrated a New Year but we challenge you to make your celebration a daily event; for scripture says that the Lord makes all things new.  We are offered newness moment by moment: new ways to grow and learn; new ways to be humble and serve; new ways to exhibit the fruits of the Spirit as we reach out to others.  Apart from Christ we can do nothing but in Him we can bear much fruit.  May you, in this New Year, having new opportunities, living in this new day, be fruitful for the Lord as you reach out to others and share His love in a tangible way.

Early Learning Center

With over 27 years of educational experience, Prince of Peace Christian School will introduce an Early Learning Center in August 2008.  This program will be devoted to the developmental needs of children from six weeks – two years old. This program will work in conjunction with Prince of Peace Christian School to prepare children for a seamless transition into preschool.

We anticipate this program will be overwhelmingly popular, so we will be offering advance placement to our Prince of Peace families and church members. During the month of January, you will have the opportunity to enroll prior to the public.

Fundraiser!!!

Middle School Youth are selling Enjoy the City coupon books this Sunday, January 27 thru Friday, February 1 ONLY as they hope to raise funds for their summer mission trip and camp. These coupons are good for local entertainment, museums, sporting events, eateries, grocery stores and car care. Some coupons are good thru half of 2009! Books sell for $20 and the middle school youth ministry will receive approximately half back as profit. We ask that you would not only consider buying one for your household, but that you would consider purchasing one as a gift of kindness, to show God’s love in a practical way to someone you may know who might be financially strapped or who would just be blessed by receiving such a gift for no reason at all! You are invited to view the books at the kiosk in the Fellowship Center following worship on Sunday.
